The objective of this workshop is to develop the comprehension of the creative context and process involved in the conception of a poster. The workshop will be based on the Posterrorism 2020 international poster competition theme. Each student will be asked to implement theoretical and practical knowledge in the objective of creating a powerful poster.

The objective of this workshop is to develop the comprehension of the creative context and process involved in the conception of a poster. The workshop will be based on the Posterrorism 2020 international poster competition theme. Each student will be asked to implement theoretical and practical knowledge in the objective of creating a powerful poster.
Poster format: 70 cm x 100 cm
Resolution: 300 dpi
Color mode: CMYK
Software: Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. At the end of the workshop, each student must present a digital version of hers/his poster.

Project type: Individual
The workshop will span over 4 days (Oct. 7 - Oct. 10) and will be organized around group discussions and individual consultations. Students will be asked to work on the subject in three phases:
This phase is based on conceptual and formal research. The objective of this phase is to work on concepts (at least 3) and sketches in order to select the most interesting concept that will be developed in the Phase 2. Time: 2-3 days.
This phase is based on advanced formal research (advanced sketches and style tests). The objective of this phase is to determine the best visual strategy to convey the concept selected in Phase 1. Time: 1-2 days.
This phase’s objective is to produce a high quality final poster that will be submitted to the Posterrorism 2020 poster competition. Time: 1 day.
