Laura works at the intersection of media, tech and international affairs. Her research focuses on how communities, audiences and stakeholders communicate across borders through common media experiences. At the School of Visual Arts she developed international exchange programs for animation students, in addition to teaching professional practices courses on global entrepreneurship. She now works with Breaker, a blockchain entertainment company that empowers artists with a peer-to-peer distribution platform. Her work also includes photography and film production for NGOs, Nonprofits and on her own personal projects, which includes three years of research on the European refugee crisis that spotlights how we communicate crises internationally.
